WELCOME TO THE 2nd ANNUAL 300CFORUMS.COM CALENDAR CONTEST

CONTEST DATES - SEPTEMBER 11, 2007 TO NOVEMBER 7, 2007

This year's contest will result in 13 lucky winning members who will be selected to have a picture of THEIR car appear on the 300CFORUMS 2008 Calendar.

GUESTS - Why not take the time to register and join in on the fun by entering your submission too!!!

The 2008 calendar will be available for ordering at Your Official 300cforums.com Online Store : CafePress.com in two sizes:

1. OVERSIZE -

• Each page measures 17" x 11"
• Measures 17" x 22" when hung on wall
• Full bleed dynamic color
• 100 lb cover weight high gloss paper, wire-o bound
• January 2008 - December 2008, 2009 preview, US holidays marked

2. WALL CALENDAR -

• Each page measures 11" x 8.5"
• Measures 11" x 17" when hung on wall
• Full bleed dynamic color
• 100 lb cover weight high gloss paper, wire-o bound
• January 2008 - December 2008, 2009 preview, US holidays marked

RULES

-- ONE photo submission per entrant is allowed

-- Submissions MUST be of YOUR car - Submissions on behalf of others is not permitted

-- Submissions to be made in THIS THREAD ONLY

-- Photo submissions may be changed AT ANY TIME as many times as you please (NEW!!!)

-- Changes to photo submissions MUST be made in your ORIGINAL post by editing your post only to substitute a new image (do not start a new post)

-- NO PROFESSIONAL IMAGE SUBMISSIONS - All submissions are meant to demonstrate YOUR abilities and talent

-- NO PHOTOSHOP ENHANCEMENTS ALLOWED - other than to correct colour balance, contrast etc.

-- When posting your submission, please include the following:

• Year of car
• Model (300/300C/300C SRT8, etc.)
• Colour of car
• Country represented

JUDGING

** Shortly after the contest closes, this thread will be closed as well.

** I will be calling upon 3 judges who will have the daunting task of selecting one submission for each of the 12 months.!!!

** Judging will be on the FIVE POINT system.

** Each of the three judges will award points, ranging from 1 to 5 for every entry submitted. These points will be added together to arrive at a final score. The maximum points possible will be 15. These will be then grouped into all the 15's, 14's 13's... and so on.

** The TOP 13 images will then be declared winners and announced as such. The 13th image is for the cover position (see below).

** In the event of tie scores AMONGST CONTENDERS, a quick 24 hour poll will be posted and all members will have the opportunity to vote their choice.

** Of these 13 winning entries, ONE will be chosen to be used for the honoured cover image. This will be a separate judging by our judges.

** I will notify each winner by PM and they will have 48 hours to send me a HI RES image to my e-mail address that will be given to them. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PM MAIL BOX IS NOT FULL!

** If you are asked for an image, please send me a HIGH RES jpg, tiff or png file.

** In the event I don't receive an image within the time frame, the next highest score will move up and take their place. This is necessary due to time constraints.

** For obvious reasons, judges are not permitted to enter this contest. I am also excluded from participation.

NOTE: Slight changes to the rules may be necessary if I have omited anything.

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL COMMENTS/CONSIDERATIONS

**ALL submissions MUST be landscape oriented ONLY**

**PROPORTIONATE Cropping of images is necessary. Please allow adequate space on all sides for this by having some free space on the image so portions of your car won't be cut off, that is unless that's what you intend to do like Moose did last year.**

**Images of open hoods/trunk lids are discouraged. Think about what you'd like to see on a PROFESSIONAL calendar**

**Use an image hosting site ONLY (Photobucket etc.) to post your images. Do not attach images. If you don't understand this, please send me a PM and I will sort you out personally**

**Images MUST be of high quality. Have a look at the file size!!! If it's under 1 MB, it's probably not going to be suitable. Set your camera to its HIGHEST setting!!!**

**Please take some time to review the Photography Tips HERE. Also read your camera manual!!!**

Just thought I'd post a quick little tutorial on how to post pics here. Like I said in the first post, if anyone is having difficulty just PM me.

To post pics, here's what you need to do:

1. Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and register. It's a free image/video hosting site and not hard to understand.
2. Look for where it says "Upload Images or Video from your PC.
3. Navigate to where the image is on your computer and that's it.
4. Once the image is uploaded to Photobucket you'll see a thumbnail of it in your album.
5. Click in the bottom box, the one called "IMG Code". That will turn the text yellow and say "copied"
6. Go to the the "Reply to Thread" window here where we make posts and either right click and select "Paste" or using the keyboard, press CTRL+V. You'll see a string of characters appear. As long as it starts and ends with [IMG] you should have no problems. You can click on the "Preview Post" button to make sure it was successful.
