New Tie Rods at 19k

Anybody else had to have new tie rods at a low mileage?

I was getting a thumping noise on the front passenger side took it into the dealership where they had to replace both front tie rods. Service manager said he has replaced tie rods on some vehicles with less than 19k says they can't lube them anymore Probably the Chinese with their cheap metal
