maybe you were not quite going fast enough for it to shift into the next gear? The transmission is computer controlled and the computer "knows" how fast you are traveling, engine rpm, etc. It also adapts to the way you drive, so if the car has always been driven by Grandma on her way to Church, that may be why it feels 'lazy'. Try driving it in a more 'spirited' manner for a few days and see if it wakes up a little.

Even if everything is working like it should, the shift logic of the stock 300C is definitely not geared for 'performance'. Mine shifted like my mother's old Crown Vic when it was new; I fixed it for good with the Superchips Flashpaq; once you determine that your tranny is mechanically sound, then I highly recommend the Flashpaq.

pulling fuse 11 wont hurt anything thats for sure.

I found my car shifted horriably the first time I pulled the fuse. According to the owners manual this is normal as the car learns....... anyway after 3 or 4 days of driving you can decide if its any better.
