One thing (actually two things) about Goodyears --- they're generally reliable and they're available most anywhere.

I'm part of the Goodyear Assurance Comfortread club. I've had mine for almost 2 years and don't have any complaints. The ride is great, there's no noice, and the handling is great as well.

If you wanted another option I read that Michelin has come out with a relatively new tire called the Primacy MXV4. I don't know anyone that has a set but they make it in the OEM size for our cars. Just something new to look at.

I have a 2005 300C thats 3.5 years old and has 42K on it. I originally had the Conti self sealing tires. I hated them. At around 20K miles I put on the goodyear comfort treads. For all around use I really like them. Of course you can get great looking lower, wider, better traction tires and rims - which is great. I prefer to stay with the all around goodyears OEMs for this car at least.

Conti tires seem to wear out fast....

I have a 2006 300 C AWD with about 33000 miles on it. The original Conti tires are about bald now. I read on the post here about a year ago that some people were having success getting their Chrysler dealers to replace the conti's for free because they are wearing out fast. No luck with my dealer.....he thinks 33000 is fine and will not discount a replacement set.

Any thoughts from others with experience on the Conti tires and recommended replacements for AWD 300's?

Regards,

Well for me eventhough I don't have an all-wheel drive hemi just the rear drive hemi I'd have to recommend the General Altimax Hp's. I had to buy a new set of tires cause all 4 were slashed and to my surpise they are very rewarding. I like them a hellava lot better then my old Goodyear Assurance's.
Now not too many people probably have the Altimax Hp's since they just came out in June but you can see my review of the tires at tirerack.com. I hate to say trust me but honestly I am absolutely in love with these tires and can only hope my opinion can be trusted. Obviously there are alot of tires to choose from and some more expensive then others but if you want overall comfort as well as a tire that is there when you need to take a corner at a high rate of speed like I like to do then the General Altimax Hp's might be the tires for you. Hope this helps.
