hit a deer....

dropped my buddy off
drivin home on this backroad
a deer jumps out I swerve
hits my passenger side doors

At least it only hit the side, head-on with a deer can total a car. That's one of my worst fears as I'm driving dirty back roads.

That sucks! Well, at least it was a side impact. Could have been much worse with a front end hit. My daughter-in-law wrote off her Focus two years ago and that was in the city! Rutting season is not all that far off either.

Here's some startling facts:

I'm surprised PA is the highest deer collision state. I would have wagered it was WV! We saw quite a few along side the roads coming home from Dover, MD last weekend. Fortunately none were moving out of the highway berms...
