300c vs 350z?

I've got a 2003 Nissan 350Z Track Model (6 speed, Daytona Blue, Brembo's) and the SRT8 has wayyy more torque. You should be able to launch and maintain your advantage through the 1/4 with no problem if you don't fall asleep at the tree.

A road race, now, that's a different story!

Raced a newer one in the summer, must have been a 2006 or 2007, my SRT8 is stock, no pipes or air box, I beat him by 4 cars at 100 mph on the street, on the roll, from 60 mph, took him 2 2 1/2 cars to 110 and then really started to pull.

If I am not mistaken, he has a 300C not an SRT8....so the race will be much closer.

If your friend has one of the first 2003 z's made, you might be in for a surprise. They seem to be a quite a bit faster than other z's. Mywife bought a 2003 pre-ordered silverstone 350z and it walks all over my friends 2005 350z and it is about 2 car lengths faster than my 05 300c....hope for him to have a bad start....good luck
