Voice Recognition Button

After almost a month on my new 2008 300C, I'm beginning to really love the subtile changes and starting to get used to the MyGIG system.

I do miss some stuff on it, like a "mute" button among others but...

The Voice Recognition system works pretty darn well and what I hate is where they decided to put the darn button!

As I'd mentioned before in past postings, it is placed the furthest it can possibly be away from the driver, on the upper right corner of the MyGIG system.

I'm starting to wonder if there is a way to locate a remote button for it. Has anybody seen the connections on the back of the MyGIG? How does it connect to the buttons on the steering wheel?

Just figured I ask before I pull anything apart.

I kinda thought it was an improvement over the mirror location we have. At least it's getting closer. There've been some previous complaints of shorter people not being able to reach the mirror one. Surely this one can't be that bad can it?

It's better than the mirror I agree.

My reach is starting to be trained, so I don't have to look to press it but it really needs to be on the steering wheel then it would clearly be totally "eyes never off the road".
