Angry Lucky I wasn't in the SRT!

Drivin down the main road today when numpty in a BMW 325 thought he could get in front of me in my direction of travel. It has been snowing all day and accumulated about 10-15 inches.

He pulls out after being pushed by two others from the gas station. the look on his face when he realized what was about to happen was priceless. Good thing i was only doing about 20 kph when we bumped.

Hit my drivers side front bumper (i tried swerving to the right, not to the left into uncoming traffic) into his passenger side rear (he was fishtailing towards the right side). Smashed his plastic bumper up pretty good, bent mine inwards about 1 inch.

We get out and he's yelling "why didn't you swerve around me!?" I checked out my car, laughed at his and said "go back in your car, the cops will sort this out."

When the cops show up he's saying that i was speeding, then runs his neck whining about pain or something. I outright laughed and the cop sorta rolled his eyes and told him to sit in his car. I give him my side of the story and give him the info from a witness who stopped and give me creds (yes there are still some good people out there!)

He takes my stuff and says "speed is irrelevant, he pulled out into moving traffic with undo care, he's getting the ticket."

This is what I was driving!!!!

I'm soooooooooo glad i parked the SRT8 for the winter!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers

This is your lucky day! Too bad for the Beemer Whiner. What was he thinking in the first place? I really dislike it when people don't own up to their responsibilities for their actions and dislike it even more when they lie!

Nice old car there! I'm a bit surprised it bent anything on that! Glad you were Okay and that guy got what he deserved. Good luck on the insurance repairs.

That's actually a pretty nice looking car. Be glad the SRT-8 was safe, but I'd still be pretty bent that he crashed into you and damaged your car...

And to think yesterday was my birthday .

Phoned the insurance company today just to keep them in the loop. I'm not going to bother fix the bent bumper, it adds character!

They said not to worry since numpty got charged for the accident.

cheers

I'm pleased to see that the typical BMW driver is a worldwide phenomenon! We have them in the UK too!!

Glad you're OK and the car not too badly damaged.
