my 2007 300 vs. rental 2008 300

my car is at the dealer for some work, so i got a rental which is a 2008 chrysler 300 2.7L v6

compared to my 2007 2.7L v6, here is what ive noticed about the '08:

it picks up a little quicker
the radio is redesigned with added features
speakers are not as sh*tty, but still suck
i was excited to see the all black door panels, but they looked cheap
the shift knob looked cheap
the beautiful re-design of the cupholder area was flimsy
it has an ESP button (turn on / turn off)... i wish i had it (even though it still has a 4000 rpm rev limiter and cant burn out or anything)
they new key is cool
if you turn the key, it will turn on by itself- you dont need to keep the key till it cranks
the rear end looks ugly, but the tail lights are cool
the antenna is uglier
new interior guages
new ugly textured radio bezel
nice chrome around the radio control knobs
in the engine compartment, there is stuff written on the radiator shroud

the only thing that i wish my car had that the rental has is the ESP button... oh and black color instead of CV

ESP or other forms of electronic vehicle stability systems will be required by law by the 2012 model year in the US.

I have the ESP button on my 2.7 2007. I don't like the ugly restyle of 08 too. I'm very very glad I bought 2007 model.

I agree. There's nothing about the 08's I like from the fishing pole to the built in trunk spoiler to the cup holders to the 3rd brake light.

The build is 10/04/06 v.5.35 (info from the special menu). The button is really on the right of the hazard lights button. But mine 300C is the European one. Maybe that is the reason I have this button?

oh ok you have a 300c, i am comparing a 2007 base model with the 2008 base model... 07 has no esp button, 08 does... but even when turnign esp off, the rev limiter is still 4000rpm and cannot do burnounts whatsoever

I have read this in many posts, but mine does even to 6000rpm and even with ESP on! I have tried it a lot of times when started moving and pushed the pedal to the end.

I have 2.7 engine, maybe you meant the rev limiter is on American 300C? With 5.7?
