Approved with flying colors

Though my credit union...3.9 over 5 years just to keep the payment down. It'll be paid off in 1.5-2 though.

I called my dealer to ask if Chrylser is giving incentives, he said "Not for THAT car they're not." I told him the rate and he said they can't touch that.

Looks like I'm set, all I have to do is hand them a check, sign the dotted line and drive away.

Still on schedule for April 15th.

Why didn't you finance initially with Chrysler to get the $1000 cash incentive, and THEN refinance within the first month with your credit union at the lower rate, while keeping the $1000 from Chrysler??

That is what I did.

The $1,000 deal wasn't going on there for a short time I think.. I did the 1K in cash through chrysler before the end of the year and then went to my credit union where I did a 5.24 for 84 months and I will pay heavy the first 2 years and the loan will last about 3 years at that rate..

Nope...I don't think so. The $1000 was deducted from my purchase price during the sale and the financed amount reflects that $1000 deduction, so I got it.

In fact, I spoke to Chrysler yesterday, and the rep told me that my car is now paid off, as they have received the check from my "new" bank. And in fact, I overpaid them a little - they are sending me back $42.

Guys....I'm just going on what the dealer told me.....He said "They aren't offering any incentives on this car." I already told him I had financing, so if they wanted to compete he should have brought that up.

If other dealers are offering this on SRT-8's that you know of let me know....as far as I can see I have NOT seen any incentives will other dealerships...Keep in mind I just ordered/bought this car 1.5 weeks ago.

Is it up to the dealer to determine if they want to offer the incentive, or is this a Chrylser incentive you should get as long as you qualify for financing?

My dealer told me "You can't get the incentive on THAT car." (SRT-8)

Neither. Chrysler Financial is offering it. Have it financed through Chrysler Financial, get the $1000 off and then pay it off with the money from your CU.
