To cover up, spray the filter with your favorite cologne or air freshener.

BUT, it kill any bacteria in the system, take the filter out, turn the fan on to full blast and spray lysol disinfectent into your freash air intake in the filter assembly. After 2 minutes, keep the fan on high and press recirculate so you recirculate the cleaner through the internal duct work for about 5 minutes.

It will kill the bacteria and you won't have another problem.

Huge waste of money to change it that often, and a lot of waste for no benefit.

i make enough money to afford $30 a year on filters. when i take it out, it's not as clean as the original, so......there is a benefit.

i'm sure there are things you do to your car that i would consider a waste...so we'll just agree to disagree.

Just pointing out to everyone that they don't have to do that.

Seeing it is good for over 20,000miles easy, replacing it too often is not a problem price wise, but is wasteful for the environment.
