I am having trouble getting my songs from my iPod to the HDD. It gives me a message of " No Music Available on Device for Copying" and then goes back to the USB input screen.

Any ideas or suggestions as to why this is happening? I just want to download my iPod songs to the HDD.

Thanks!

I downloaded directly from my ipod and hated it....all the songs went in one HUGE list.

Well, what i did was put music (MP3's) in files (rap, rock Oldies, 70's etc) on my computer then copied those files onto a MEMORY STICK and then plugged that memory stick into the USB in the car. Reason for that is...there was so much on my IPOD that i really won't listen to that I didn't want it taking up space on the hard drive in the car. NOT TO MENTION...since i put the songs in seperate files...i dont have to search through ALL my songs to hear a certain song...i only have to search through the songs in a certain file.

HOWEVER when you find the file on your computer where itunes has put all your music...you may find that some of the files are MPEG4. MPEG4 files can't be played on the hard drive in the car.

HOPE THIS HELPS...GOOD LUCK!

I have them sorted by artist; each artist has its own playlist. I like the sorting by Genre as well, but would still like a "Shuffle" feature.

How to import a CD to the MyGIG HDD...

Step 1:
Click on your "Menu" button to get to the "HDD Menu" screen:

(In this picture you can see the "Random" box that I hadn't noticed before )

Step 2:
Click the "My Music" button

Step 3:
Click the "Import Music Files" button

Step 4:
Click the "From Disk" button

Step 6:
You're done!

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I took them with my iPhone and there was a glare. I might re-shoot later, and I'll also make a tutorial on how to Rename the Playlists as well.

I JUST REMEMBERED what I REALLLY HATE about the mygig. I HATE that there in no voice button on the steering wheel. I think it would be safer than having to reach to the RIGHT of the screen. I also think it would be way more convenient.

Actually, every time i see that damn ford commercial and that woman hits the button on her wheel and says "call home" it PISSES ME THE #&@* OFF!

Ford can do it but Chrysler can't...or didn't.

ok now i am pissed off....lemme go fire someone!
