I don't think you can upgrade/reflash the EVIC Software. It is what it is. Unless you upgrade clusters. I could be wrong tho.

The EVIC Software in my '08 300C was updated in March, but it was done as part of a flash update to the Adaptive Cruise Control system to give the system a normal cruise control option. I don't know if you can update it separately.

yeah, i don't think u can.. i believe it's car and option specific. no dealer wants to try it b/c they think they will mess up the computer system, but they can just flash it back i thought... not too big a deal i guess... just wanted the 0-60 timer, which i just use on my flashpaq lol

I don't know if the EVIC software is the same as the CCN software. If it is, mine was indeed updated with new software as part of the Adaptive Cruise modification- my old CCN software was version 6.10h dated 4/23/07. The new CCN version after the adaptive cruise update is version 6.12j, dated 10/29/08 The update fixed the previously non-working speedo, but deleted the ability to pick an MDS icon.

Yeah, I read that someone had their CCN (whatever that is? Help?) Reflashed because of an issue, and the dealer put a police version on, that got rid of their 0-60 timer, but gave them a digi speedo? I think? Anyways, you can't revert to an older software, only upgrade to newer.. So they had to order him a new instrament pannel that had the correct CCN on it.

CCN= cabin compartment node, according to the TSB they performed on my adaptive cruise system. No clue what all it controls other than the cruise- must be stuff in the cabin compartment!

Prior to the CCN update, my easter egg functions included a digital speedo, but it always displayed "0". Now the speedo it works. Still have the 0-60 timer. One feature deleted was the ability to change the MDS active icon that displayed in all screens when the MDS was engaged. I used to be able to pick from a leaf, V4, MDS and a few other icons. With the new update "MDS" shows when active, and there is no longer a choice.
