Does the 2008 SRT-8 have a rear deck lid spoiler?

Hi:

I have called Chrysler, I have asked a Chrysler dealer and no one can give me a straight answer and I haven't seen a 2008 SRT-8 up close in person. The reason I am asking the question is I recently purchased a 2008 300C and intended to put a rear spoiler on it but the "3rd eye" intergrated into the rear deck lid may prevent a spoiler. If a 2008 SRT-8 does have a rear spoiler, is the rear deck lid the same as a 2008 300C deck lid except for the spoiler?Does anyone have the answer?

Thanks, Mike

Thanks guys that is exactly the info I was looking for.

I have another question you may be able to help me with. Yesterday I went to the dealer to ask if the hood is supposed to have 2 hood pistons and an under hood light because my car only has one hood piston and no underhood light. I factory ordered the car and have only had it for a week. The parts dept told me all 300C's are built that way. Is it true? It seems very odd that the hood is set up for 2 hood pistons with only one intalled and no under hood light.

I appreciate your help, Mike

Jeez, maybe they're cutting corners again. Mine has two, but they never did have a light. A lot of Charger & Magnum owners use the 300's hood struts because theirs don't come with any.

Hi Rambit:

How are you?

What's even stranger is the parts guy tried to say to me the reason there are no under hood lights is because owners never open their hoods. They just bring the car to a mechanic. Sounds like a crock to me. I don't know about the other folks on this board for sure but it seems to me the majority are car nuts and will surely open the hoods themselves and check their own oil, etc. And there are an awful lot of active members here, so where does the mechanic's logic come from?

There is no logic to what the mechanic told you, but for some reason they never did have a light. On the ood strut thing, I'd check with other cars on the lot cuz I'm sure it should have two. I guess anything's possible and maybe they did forget one.
