300C SRT8 07? 08? or 09?

I am selling my 07 SRT8 and In 6-12 months plan to buy a new one selling it because of financial problems. Should I repurchase the 07 SRT8? or the 08 with the new interior and tail lights or just wait for the 09 to come out heard it has a 500+ hp 6.4l engine ... what do you guys think thank you....

it's not of my business, but the money you'll lose selling and rebuying a new one won't certainly help your financial problems, unless I don't get your plan right... Anyway, I would go with the new 08 oy the 09 if it's out by then, which is not sure at all...

You should get your financial situation straight before you purchase anything new. Selling your 07 and buying an 08 or 09 will greatly increase your financial troubles. My advice is to keep your 07 for as long as possible. Don't sell it. You will lose lots of money.

I'm going to try and give you some sound financial advice, but please don't take this the wrong way. As everyone knows, cars depreciate quickly, and the 300C SRT8 is no exception. I know that if you can't afford the payments, then you may have no other alternatives. Surely you are going to have to drive something after you sell your SRT8, right?

If you are going to be replacing your SRT8 with a cheaper car, think about the taxes and fees you will pay on the replacement vehicle. Then think about the taxes and fees you paid recently on your SRT8 and more importantly the steep depreciation. Finally, don't forget the taxes and fees you will have to pay on your cheaper replacement vehicle. Then when you swap it next year for another SRT8, you repeat the process and pay more taxes again.

I don't know what you paid or owe on you your 07 or if you bought it new, but I can estimate that the cost of taxes, fees, and depreciation may add up to over $10000. Buying a new car every year is fine if you can afford it, but if you are in financial trouble now, I would recommend that you save money and invest if for the future so you don't find yourself in this situation again. Even if you get your monthly income up to a point where you can afford the payments, it would be best to save money for a while to create a financial saftey net just in case you lose your job or have other financial difficulties. I recommend that you have enough savings in safe investments like online savings and money market accounts to cover at least 9 months of your expenses. In other words, if you currently have $3000 of expenses per month, you should have at least $27000 in savings. Actually, you should have lots more than that depending on your age.

I recommend that if there is nobody in your family that can help you with your SRT8 payments, you should get another much cheaper used car, save as much money as possible, and wait until you have enough savings to pay cash for your SRT8. I'm not saying you should pay cash for it, but you should have enough money in savings to completely cover the loan balance you will have after you buy it.

I'm the type of guy that likes to live well within my means, and it is very important to save for the future. Good investments will generate more income for you and help you with your payments as well. If you invest additional money in stocks, mutual funds, or bonds, the income and appreciation of those investments can be used later to buy an even better car. I'm not trying to preach to you about saving, but I feel it is very important.

While the 2009 300C SRT8 will have some notable drivetrain and suspension improvements, the 6.4 engine is not in the cards. For the 2009 model year, ALL SRT8 vehicles will feature the current 6.1.

Rambit told me, after I told him, and when that happens he is almost always dead on with the information.

The new generation LY models are scheduled for the 2011 model year. At this time there is no solid information on the release dates or plans for the next new SRT8 engine, the 6.4. I believe current plans call for it to be intro'd in the 2010 Challenger, then perhaps make its way into special edition models of the 300C, Charger and Jeep. The Jeep also changes generations in the 2011 model year and has been on the schedule to get the 6.4L. Original plans called for putting the new engine in the current gen LX and WK models, for the 2010 model year. That can't be ruled out yet, more info should be available in a few more months.
