AC Filter??

Ok so I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said AC's have filters?? He has a Lexus IS and says he can access his through his glove box? Is this on all cars (I would imagine so) and where are ours located??

The 300 have one so do most recent car . It's call a cabin filter . If you open the hood you will see on the passenger side just near the wiper a pastic cover. Lift it and there is the cabin filter. Other call it a pollen filter.

Not all cars have them. My SRT8 didn't (does now). It was part of the Protection package, along with the side airbags and other items.

From the OP's profile, having a base 300, it's doubtful he has the cabin filter. So slabhurta02, if you decide to put one in you can get the filter a lot cheaper at NAPA.

In the event you need a cabin air filter (should change every year) NAPA has them for $10 and thats much cheaper than going to the dealer. The part # is
"4909" !

If the car wasn't equipped with one he also needs the holder and stuff. Easiest just to buy the whole kit from MPSC.

Kind of off subject but how much does it cost to get a fuel filter replaced and is it worth it??

don't have an answer for you on this one. but be sure to visit the SCLX dealer partners, they are giving big parts discounts and labor discounts on "non-package" maintenance.
