I'm very new to the 300c world but not to performance cars and although the C has the HP, pushing that HP to the wheels is something a stock C will not do as well as the Camaro's Z28 and SS's. My weekend car is a modded Mustang GT convertable with 373's gears and around 300HP to the wheels without nitrous and my stock 300 can't touch it in the quarter. Now I'm sure if you put gears and some bolt ons in the 300 it will be a different story.

Drive around an LSx Ta for a day and tell me it's not the best day of your life haha. The 300 and TA are completely different cars. TA is just pissed, 300 is a classy kinda pissed haha.

F-Bodies are nice cars but I'd rather have the Vette

My bud had 3-5K tied up in the suspension on his WS-6 TA just to make it handle like my stock C5 Z51 car did

(But no doubt, his TA was BAD AZZ)

My Trans Am is sooooooo much fun. T-tops, 6speed manual, 315hp to the tires, and having a bullit proof engine. However I live in Minnesota so thats only for 6 months on a good year. The other six or so are spent driving a 93 blazer with 210xxx miles getting 13mpg. Not fun at all. So It was time to get a car to drive year round till I get out of this state. Thats my excuse and im sticking to it.

As a HUGE fbody fan and a previous owner of 2 fbodies I feel like I must express my opinion on this. But first, always make sure your talking about a Z28 or an SS camaro. The V6's (while okay for what they are) are an easy kill for any hemi and theres only a 2 inch badge on the rear and front quarter panels to tell you the difference between 180whp and 325whp.

But seriously never feel bad about losing to a V8 F-body in a 300C. They are freakishly fast cars with 90 % of there engineering in the motor. There interiors are vinyl clad jokes and they have a huge hump in the passenger side floor (catalytic converter). And dont get me started on there back seats.

HOWEVER, you basically have a corvette motor and tranny in a 3400lb car and very aerodynamic to boot. Despite there fragile rearends, they were made for straight line acceleration and are probably bang for buck the best straight line performers north america has ever seen.

But they were killed for a reason and most fbody owners are enthusiasts and will have mods on them. Remember, they stopped making them in 2002 so most owners who still drive them will have had work done.

100% agreed. the 2002 TA was my third f-body and I was ready for a new type of beast.

Now, Oot, I'd have to think about that one. Could I have that as my second car and still keep my C? 0 - 60 in one, and 50 mpg. Man! I'd have to fit a 5-point harness, for sure.

22s are for looking cool. A 426 and suspension/proper wheels and some NOS and you'll catch up.

Shove a jet engine in the trunk somehow, I think the 300C would be funnier beating an F body with 5 people in it :P

im sure its been said already.but that SS will beat the SRT8. so it doesnt surprise me, that it would smoke a 5.7 hemi.
