1st OIL CHANGE

300C members changed the oil today purchased 06 300C with 8000 miles has 10042 on the clock now ... I noticed there is a 3x3 foot plastic cover which is underneath the oil pan has anyone left this off... looks like a real PIA to me.. Thanks for reading

I know it's a pain but it only takes like 2 minutes to remove it and put it back on after. It protects from under belly scratches and stuff I think.

It's actually very easy to remove, 4 ten mm and you're off.

Many have removed it, and it will lower underhood temps a bit.

But it is part of your aero, I'm sure it would be more drag at high speeds.

Remember 5W-20 is required for MDS. I've just had my second (and last) oil change done by the dealer and I still worry that they might phuk it up! The 1st. one was no charge. The 6K mi. one cost $100 including tire rotation and "inspection" so I figure I got 2 oil changes & tire rotation for $100. Not too bad considering it's a dealer.

is this one ok for 5.7 Hemi MDS? u can choose 10W-30.is that too much??
