AFE Stage 2

Anybody else upon installing the,what I'll call isolation shield,notice the big gap where the inlet comes in from under the headlight. The stock airbox fits right onto this feed. Seems to me it should be shielded to block any hot engine air. Any ideas or feedback.Thanks

My K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake has the same gap....it's got to be small enough to not matter much I would think.

havent given it much thought. i was going to make a ram air tube going form the vent in the bumper to that piece . one day when i get off my ass.
