Are you saying there have been NO 300C sales of 2009 models other than the few SRT8s?

yeah... very interesting... and bleak!

#4 ·
Yeah, very strange numbers for the 300's, especially the SRT8. Looks like the Challenger is taking a lot of sales from the 300's to me. The Chargers are very strong though.

The October results say the 300 is down 44% over this time last year, but the Charger is only down 12%.

Could it have been the fishing pole of the '08 and the trunk-mounted 3rd brake light as well ruining the "lines"???

Looks like you are missing 1,986 cars.

..14,580
..10,687
...2,349
......420
...3,258
...7,232
...3,875
...5,807
...4,123
...1,242
....114
53,687

55,673
(1,986)

For the period Jan-Oct 2008, the total unit sales for the 3 models (excluding the Magnum) were 153,154. So sales are out-pacing production.

The sad news, the 300 October sales were the lowest ever, 3,415.

I think the lousy economy is hitting lots of businesses, especially auto makers and dealers. The credit crunch is also hitting small businesses, hard! My employer uses a line of credit to cover payroll and other expenses. I'm a contractor, and my employer has asked me and all billable engineers to work as much as possible in November so our revenue looks better. This will help with keeping our line of credit adequate. The extra pay is nice, but I'm concerned about what may happen in the future if their credit line isn't extended.

sad

I have a good friend who maintains a 50k line of credit for his payroll, as he waits a long time to collect his revenue.

The bank called him and withdrew the line!!!! This may threaten the future of his biz!

Man, this just keeps getting worse.

It's hard to buy a car when you don't know what tomorrow will be like, not to mention if your bank will be in business. My deposits have been rejected by the paying bank for a whole month. After a month of no deposits accredited to my account, I was obliged to cash the checks I wanted to deposit. This reckless and perhaps illegal bank behavior makes me nervous.
So .... no new car for me for a while. But there are some screaming deals on used SRT's.

I ordered a 2009 300srt8 back in March, my dealer told me today that they aren't building anymore 2009's. Instead they are saying I'll get a 2010(one of only 5 allocated to western Canada) for the same I would have payed for the 2009 (after consumer cash $47,261 thats Canadian $). Resume Speed do you know what the differences are between a 2009 and 2010 300 srt ?

...do you know what the differences are between a 2009 and 2010 300 srt ?
Proximity Entry and Keyless Go are two new features that will be standard on the 2010 SRT8. Intro colors are the same as the outgoing 2009 models. Production of the 2010 SRT models will start in September (other 300 series models start August 17th).

The Rear Seat Video system and Front seat side air bags have been dropped.

Base MSRP in Canada will be $54,845 + $1400 destination + taxes. The only options are Kicker ($525), 245/45ZR20 tires (no charge) and Option Group II ($1150). OG II includes the RER MyGIG radio with UConnect.

Thanks for the info RS... so there is no Option group I for 2010 ? I had ordered all options except the rear seat video. The gas guzzler tax has been reduced because of better mileage, will this affect the cars performance? I have also read that the ESP programe is less interfereing. It looks like this may be a rare model if the trend of the 2009 300srt continues. Thanks again...

RESURRECTION!!!

I also have a 2009 MY 300C SRT8. Would love to know more on its specific build number for that MY. Anything would be appreciated.

I found this, but just not detailed enough for everyone. It does give a larger total of 300s for 2009 than previously reported but without specific package breakdown.

2010 Monthly Production Data

Look for the .pdf at the bottom for download of 2010 and 2009 data.

Hi Resume Speed - any ideas about total 300C SRT8 production numbers for 2006 and 2007?
2006 is the only year that I do not have exact numbers for - back in 2006 I had confirmed 7,500+ for the first 3/4 of the model year and due to my contact leaving Chrysler I had to estimate for the last quarter and therefore had come up with ~10,000.

I have been looking for accurate 2007-2010 production numbers for a long time now, and in fact have been working on it a lot during the past few months. I am currently finishing up now with a simple comparison chart that shows the production totals not only for the 300C SRT8 but for ALL SRT8 models for the 2005-2010 model years. Some VERY interesting and surprising numbers!

Looks like I have a very rare car. I suppose every SRT after 2006/2007 model year is pretty rare.

2008 model year vehicles, yes.

Nowadays, though, is there really a place in the market for rare if your brand isn't Lambo, Ferrari, or some other exotic? I can see maybe the Shelby's holding value with a possible lift at 30yr resale if unmolested/stock or somehow gathering a racing pedigree. I guess the buyers are hopeful that it is possible with a ZL1 or ZR1, too.

I never saw the Impala SS as a collector (94-96) due to the numbers produced, but as a great platform for fun. This car is even more fun out of the box and can almost stay stock and be a blast. We just never know, but like the lottery, it is fun to speculate.
