What's "Active Noise Cancellation?"
"The active noise cancellation system implements the acoustically adaptive algorithm that cancels the unwanted sound by generating an antisound (antinoise) of equal amplitude and opposite phase. The original, unwanted sound and the antinoise acoustically combine, resulting in the cancellation of both sounds."

Microphones pick up engine and road noise, and then speakers are used to blast out antiphase versions of those noises at head height. Noise is claimed to be reduced by around 5 to 8dB.

To fit more inline with their customer base, Dodge has decided the 2010 Charger and Challenger will not have a push button starter, instead the ignition button will be replaced by a clapper.

CLAP ON! *CLAP CLAP!* Clap off! *CLAP CLAP*

Active noise Cancellation

Will it cancel out the noise from the wife in the passenger seat when my 300C gets frisky?

OMG, RS, LMAO! ^^That's what we call gobbledygook, psychobabble, or just plain BS, even though it is true, lol! With all the various sound systems blaring at incredible decibels, is anyone really going to care about the noise
cancellation system?

Yes, absolutely, especially owners such as robaustin who will be able to select the variable antinoise antifem mode.

Imagine if they come out with the Sound Cancelling option v2.0 (prototype)! Looks complicated though.

RS...

Re the 2011 model year all-new generation 300C... will the Euro / UK spec models be built at Brampton rather than the Magna Steyr plant in Austria as at present and if a diesel option is being produced will it be Mercedes Benz derived as per current Euro spec models?

The existing Magna Steyr contract expires in calendar year 2010. The next gen export models will be built at Brampton. Chrysler is investing more than 1 billion $ to retool the plant for LH/RH drive production and for the new export diesel. Don't have any info on the new diesel at this time, will keep checking.
