red light in dash area between fuel gauge and Speedo

Why does this light again anyone?

And YES I TRIED TO LOOK IT UP UNDER THE SEARCH FEATURE!!!
But got this gosh darn message:
The search term you specified (in) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

Last time I checked - 6 words is greater than the 3 and should meet most requirements - except this website's.

glowing red light in dash area.

guess it wants a long and winding road version -

THANKS!!!

the only thing that comes to mind is that its the "alarm activated " light,it should only come on when you've locked the car. That is if its the same light you're talking about

if the light is light solid red, it means that the WCM can't read the SKIM in the key and you have an invalid key code error.

this happens if the battery in the key is getting low, if the WCM didn't read the key correctly more than (3 I think) times on a successful start, or if there is a problem with the WCM.

pull your negative battery cable for 10 minutes and that will reset the WCM, if it happens again, then you are having a problem with the sync between the Key and the WCM

good deal..

yeah brother... the minimum word length sucks. not sure why that came on us in one of the software upgrades ( i am only a regular member with a badge, not one who would know that stuff).

But, if you put the 3 letter words in parentheses it will work.
