Question Changing Oil On 2005 Chrysler 300

Hey guys thanks again, with all your help i get to learn and do more hands on stuff with my car it is much appreciated. I was going to do an oil change this weekend and was wondering how many Litres (I live in Canada) does the 2005 Chrysler 300 3.5L V6 take? I purchased the K&N Performance filter is there a difference from fram or other oil filters? What oil do you recommend? Is Royal Purple worth the money? Thank you very much guys in advance.

IMO, synthetics don't provide much benefit unless you go whole-hog - ALL the fluids. For a guess, I'd say five liters. The O/M will show you exactly how much it holds. There will be people on here and other forums who will trash Fram filters, but I've never had a problem with them. Used 'em for years. I use K&N now, mostly for that 1" nut.

Cars that come with synthetic and extended oil change time I have stayed with.

The Hemi did not, and they say it should be changed every six months or six thousand miles minimum Synthetic would be a waste of money IMHO.

Yeah, you'll learn just how useless the Haynes and Chilton's manuals are. I doubt those people have a clue about maintenance. Their publications are good if you have a bird and need to line its cage.

Don't listen to him. He is just mad because Haynes won't make a coloring book version for his comprehension level. They copy the maintenance info strait from the owners manual.

Spoken like a true genius. If you had ever bothered to read a Haynes manual (oh yeah, that would be a problem for you, wouldn't it?), you'd have learned they don't match the vehicle.
