Current wait for 300C AWD and SRT8

Hi folks,

I'm hoping to get my hands on either a 300C AWD or SRT8 in the New York/New Jersey area. Any idea what the wait might be for each?

Thanks,

Wilbur

WilburNJ,

Are you lookin to order? If you check the Chrysler website and use the search inventory function, you might find what your lookin for at a dealer within a reasonable distance to your location.

I picked up my 300C AWD at a local dealer here in Brooklyn, NY. I planned on ordering one, but when I went to the dealership they had 2 AWD 300C's in cool vanilla white and 1 SRT8 in silver. All three cars had just about all the options. Picked mine up the day after I went to the dealership at the end of June. From what the salesman was saying they're getting a premium for the SRT8, about 8K over sticker. The dealership is Bayridge Chrysler (Bayridge Jeep Inc.)

Hope it's Ok to mention the dealership by name moderators.

Good Luck,
Joe

Joe,

Thanks for the great news. I've tried using the Chrysler inventory search and have found only non-Cs in AWD, and not too many of them either. But, since you picked up your AWD C so recently, I'm encouraged. I'll head to my closest dealer and see if they can find one and do a dealer swap.

I hope you're enjoying your new car. I saw a black 300C AWD in front of me yesterday, and got me all excited about finding one ASAP!!

Good luck with your new ride,

Wilbur

Got my answer: 12 weeks (at least in CT)

I was visiting my folks and brother in NW Connecticut today and test drove a 300 Touring. Not the C (didn't have any in stock). But I wanted to see how I would fit (I'm 6'5" and 230 lbs). Fit just fine!!

The ride was great and even the 6 banger had a lot of pep. Can't imagine how the hemi would drive.

Unfortunately, they told me at least 12 weeks for a C and that they had absolutely no allocations for an SRT this year. Hmmm, maybe I should just cool off on this until next year? But then again, I get impatient sometimes when I know what I want.

I guess I'll keep searching....

I ordered my 300C AWD pretty much loaded over 10 weeks ago. The dealer has been unresponsive and from Chrysler the only status I could get was that the car was on "indefinite hold". From this site I learned that they are scheduled to begin again making them in early September - so the wait is real long if you order. There are some in locations around the country that were made in the first run of 2006 - I am hoping that I might find one to my liking. It has been really frustrating - I was so psyched on this car and am getting close to scrapping the idea of getting one all together.

I just got my car serviced from the dealer this week and they had about 6 C on the lot. AWD in black & cool vanilla, RWD in silver, blue, black and black SRT 8 with no mark up in Ypsilanti, MI.
I don't know why MI gets that many but I see between 6-10 on every lot and a lot of them AWD just like mine. Don't know if your looking for specific options, but mine was built on Friday, May 13 so I dont know if this was the first run, but am sure the other ones I saw were built after mine. You may want to check out dealers in MI.

You're right. I see both an AWD C and a SRT at Cueter Chrysler Jeep Dodge, according the the Chrysler site's "Inventory" function. I don't really want to fly out the Michigan to pick up a car, but that ride back would at least be a fun drive. Something to explore further....

Srt8 Available

WilburNJ,

Just got off the phone with the salesman I dealt with when I purchased my 300C. The bad news: no AWD C's in stock, the good news: 1 silver SRT8 in stock. If interested you can call Shah at 718-439-7100, Bayridge Chrysler.

If Philly isn't too far for you I know of a dealer that has one (well, it was there when I left the dealership on Saturday night). I bought mine there on Saturday. It's a 300C AWD, midnight blue with the Nav II package and sunroof.

Metro Chrylser at the Philadelphia Auto Mall - (866) 867-1538 The sales manager is named Don.

Updates on availability

Thanks JJT and Jbrowre for the info. I'm a bit swamped at work this week, but will try calling these dealers when I get a chance. Alternatively, I may go to a local dealer and ask him to find a car (via dealer swap) to my liking (since they may not be as rare as I thought).

Thanks again!
