What kind of oil does the 300c come with from the factory?

I'm just wondering if anyone here knows the exact oil that comes stock in new 300c's. I already know the weight is 5w20, but I would like to know the brand and the type of oil (regular dino oil, semi-synth or full synth.) I switched to synthetic today, and the dealership told me that it wasn't worth it because the car already comes stock with synthetic. I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but I would like to know exactly what it does come with from the factory.

BTW, I put in Royal Purple 5w20 today (Same brand I currently use in all my performance cars) and it made an absolutely huge difference. I've have never felt the car run so smoothly or quietly, even when it was brand new. I'm expecting slightly better fuel economy too. The car has 25K km on it using the dealership oil (Changed every 5K km) I would definately recommend this product to others.

The C comes with Mopar NON synthetic oil and a Mopar filter made by Purolator. I don't know the source for the Mopar oil.

I don't know if there is anything true to history anymore, but Mopars always came with Havoline in them "back in the day" in the days of the 426 Hemi.

I hope the mopar oil is good, i just signed a 7 year contract for 28 oil changes for 350.00. That is a pretty darn good deal, and i don't have to sweat the 7 quarts gushing all over garage floor. Normal cost is around 39.00 at the dealer, with this deal the price drops to 12.00 and change, i can't buy the oil and filter for this!

Where are you guys getting these great deals? I asked my local 1-Star Dealer and they plead ignorance (as usual) to any oil change package, other than a complete DCX Maintenance Care package...

My brother in law's Crossfire specifically states it had Mobil 1 from the factory so I would imagine there would be a label on under the hood if the 300C used synthetic. I just switched to Mobil 1 5w20 at first oil change. I went with mobil 1 over other brands just because the Crossfire, and SRT8 as well as many other high end cars come factory filled with Mobil 1.

Jasper, you must see the finance man to get the oil/lube service contract, it can run 3,5 or 7 years i believe it is. You will receive a coupon book good at any dodge or chrysler dealer inside the continental united states.
