A warm hello to everyone. I am perhaps your newest yet oldest member. At 72 I just purchased my new BB Hemi for my birthday. This is one sweet ride. I have no plans for any cutomizing like all you crazy kids because she is one sweet black ride. I just lost my wife Eunice after 50 years of marital bliss. This car of mine will ease some of my pain. If I can figure how to put a picture up I will do so in the near future. I am a jazz musician and have played alongside some of the greats like "Sach" and others. As you can tell Armstrong was my role model. Bless y'all

A warm welcome DB, and congrats on your new ride!

I think you'll be surprised at just how old many of us "crazy kids" are and, be forewarned, the modifying bug is highly contagious and knows no age boundaries. Some have a stronger immunity to it than others and come down with only the slightest of symptoms, but there is no known prevention!

Welcome to the forum Doodie. You will enjoy the people you meet here. I'm with you that my Hemi ride is just fine as it came from the factory.

Sorry to hear about your loss. As you said, hopefully, your new toy will ease some of the pain. Good luck to you.

Welcome DB, and I'm also sorry to hear about the 'passing' of your lovely bride of fifty years. Bittersweet as it may sound, you've just added about 3,000 new members to your family. So, are you a horn blower like Sach was? I too am an avid music lover (and former radio personality/disc-jockey), and I also play Jazz/Dixieland clarinet, saxophone, and flute...non-professionally of course, but just for relaxation and self-indulgence. Welcome aboard and I 'ditto' whatever HEMEEE said about us 'older youngsters'.

Warm welcome Doodie

I was brought up with the sounds of Satchmo and band in our house - 78s and LPs - there my age is showing.

I am sorry for the loss of your wife, and hope the hemi is fun for you.

If you have more questions feel free to ask away.

Zilla

Greetings and welcome. Congratulations for a 50 year marriage, that takes a lot of love and hard work. My sincere condolences extended for your loss. May God bless and keep you safe until He is ready for you to be with Eunice again. In the meantime, enjoy your superb new automobile!

Doodie, Welcome aboard. Sorry on your loss. I and my bride are on 32 years and still on our HONEYMOON. Remember, age is only a relevant factor if you want it to be. I for one can say that this car has me reliving my past, and I also never intended on doing any modifications -- BUT-- it keeps me active LOL Once again Welcome
