This can't be right

An acquaintance told me yesterday that he was at HESCO, a local engine builder with WORLDS of noted experience, and while there a new Z06 vette was on the dyno. Before the run he asked about it and he claimed it was totally stock (gotta be BS). THe # he gave me was in the upper 600's (forget it exactly because I couldn't believe it and kept questioning him, but he swears that's what the dyno said). Anybody hear of such? I even saw where the phantom BLUE DEVIL VETTE (supercharged possibility for 2007) is less than 700 HP. Who else wants to raise the BS flag here?

Stock I doubt it.

Chevy is claiming 500HP for the new Z06 so no way is that # correct at the wheels

Gm was claiming 500 hp and dyno's have come back 505. Still a little early and even though I'm sure the motor is capable of more power it still sounds a little far-fetched. I mean if they can 600hp out of the LS7 the vette's competion would be Lambo's and Ferrari's. 0-60 is already supposed to be high 3's with 505hp. 600?????????sounds a little fishy, but I can't say I'm not praying that your friend is right.

Yeah J, esp. since you're gonna get one. It would be great for American wheels to be that stout but just can't believe it. I think they would claim it. I can see them underrating for a few hp maybe for insurance, but not like that. Hey, did you ever see my reply to one of your posts where I mentioned my wife's cousin, Brent, in Mastodon? Thought y'all might have met down the line somewhere. Christmas Day and Angel's Son are my favorites, although I know they are kind of different from most of the other songs you do.
