Say it ain't so!!!

Well, it happened!!

Was at a hotel last night and this morning I awake to passanger window smashed out and NAV gone!!

doors still locked.

Leather seat sractched and stitching torn, outside window (lower) chrome strip and paint scratched. Plastic around bezel dented and scratced.

Glass everywhere....

All I can say is tinted windows and an upgrade on the alarm system!

Man, I hate to hear that. What kind of security system? It should have gone off and if it was a paging system alerted you. Did the alarm go off? Any security guard hear anything?
Just curious to see how advanced these crooks arel.

Yikes!

Do you think they actually took the bezel off to get to it, or did they just rip it out?

Unfortunately, you will probably see your nav unit on Ebay sometime in the near future.

I hate people that do these kind of things.

Hopefully you can rely on insurance for assistance.

wes, charlie D

thanks

All I have is the factory alarm. Nothing on the security side concerning the hotel. My agent said she would try to get the hotel to cover the deductible.

Once everything is replaced I'll have them put in a Viper system(from what I've read here and other places it's a decent system). Now I have to see which one is the best any advice is appreciated?.?.

As far as the "crooks" although they did a job on the surrounding areas, the bezel and climate control was left hanging and when I cranked the car up the AC still worked.

tekhen, I'm so sorry! Unfortunately, I know the feeling, but worst of all is that you were away from home. It may seem obvious, but did you check to see if the hotel has security cameras on the parking lot?
Best of luck in getting your car put back together good as new and as quickly, and with as few headaches, as possible

That SUCKS worse then words can say...

There are very few things in this word I hate more then a theif... very few...

Karma, my friend will catch up to him. Just keep that running in the back of your head.

I have to say though I did get the pleasure of once catching a their in my car while trying to do the same thing. Granted it wasn't my C but doesn't matter I still got my justice after "roughing him up" a bit I had him sitting on the curb while I called the local cops (my friends) and watching him go to jail with a few shiners.

Needless to say...he hasn't been back

Anywise best of luck to you!
