Turbo and the gang, your hospitality is awsome. Thanks for the invite. The heat was a little to much. Great cars, great people and great time. Maybe I'll see ya in Norwalk.

As well, I am sorry I did not have a chance to meet up. I had a 3 yr old having a melt down. I parked in the VIP lot for $5.00. Boy, if it wasnt for the breeze and a low humidity day, it would have been terrible. I would have had a meltdown. LOL The sun was blistering, but it made for a fantastic day.

I saw only one Chrysler 300C SRT-8 at the show inside the grounds.

A review of the event:

I was disappointed in the Mopar tent. I always loved to see the up and comming concept cars, but it was quite lackluster to say the least.

The direct connection performance tent did not have a large display of crate engines, perfomance goodies as in the past.

Indy had a great engine display. Boy has that company grown.

The Edelbrock tent made me laugh. It was chock full of goodies...Mainly for Ford and Chevy. LOL

As for the Car Coral...There were some good deals and outrageous asking figures. Reality has not set in on some folks.

In the evening, Brice road was a travesty. In the past, 75% of the cars cruising were mopars. Maybe it was me and the time I showed, but Mopars were certainly the minority. Mostly locals. Plus, the cops had the street tighter than a drum. Crusing was no longer fun due to traffic. I also noticed the strip was much shorter. People did not cruise far down Brice and most spectators were huddled around the hotels near the 70....

I left late on Sunday. 3:00 pm Most were gone by then. The show was small and Brice was nearly empty. I did not see one Classic Mopar on the way back to D.C.

Sorry to hear you had such a terrible time . . . .

Power Ported had 2-3 of their 300C's at their tent all weekend.

Also, there were 2 with our caravan.

Sounds like you should have met up with us. Guarantee you would have had a much better time. A lot more fun going us a group than solo. We had tents setup, ice cold beverages and got a chance to talk to and hang out with a bunch of Mopar fans.

I agree Brice Road on Friday was pretty lame since the police were everywhere and the cruise route was extremely short. There was a lot more action going on in the parking lots than on the street. However, the cruise in Heath on Saturday night was a blast. The cruise stretched a good 5-6 miles and the cars and crowd were crazy!

I was there all 3 days and only got to see maybe 70% of everything that was there. Good time had by our group, definitely planning on attending again next year.

As always you are welcome in Columbus. Glad you were able to make the trip down and hang out with us for the day. It was good seeing you again. Too bad the air conditioning was not working in that Avenger we test drove.

Gonna see what I can to about making it up to Norwalk . . .

Glad to see everyone that was able to make it out to the Mopar Nationals this weekend and those that met up with us at the evening cruises. The heat and humidity was brutal on Friday, but got a little cooler on Saturday. I know we had a few first-timers with us, I hope that everybody had a good time. I can't think of a better way to spend a summer weekend than hanging out with my friends.

No trophy this year in the car show competition, the judges only awarded 1st and 2nd place because there were so many cars in some of the other "older car" classes. It was a good learning experience to see what kind of stuff they are looking for. Not discouraged at all, coming back bigger and better, and I will be ready next year.

Next year we need to register in advance as a club so we can park in the club area. We got more than enough LX's to represent. So don't be surprised to hear from me in June to start getting registration together for next August.

You guys rock!!!

Yes, I wish I could have gone in a group. Solo with a 3 yr old wasnt spectaucular, but I did have a good time. The things I mentioned were just the obvious that were a disappointment. I wish I could have made it to Heath. I heard it was quite nice.

I did a two fold visit. I came in town for Mopar and business. Next year, I will come just for the show.
