Mopar Happening Sun, 7-15 NW sub convoy thread

This thread is to gauge interest in a convoy from Crystal Lake to the Belvidere Mopar Happening on Sunday. I propose to meet at the McDonalds at Rt 14 & 176 in Crystal Lake and head straight west on 176 to Rt 20 in Marengo to Belvidere. I propose meeting around 8am and to start the cruise to Belvidere by 8:30. The drive to Belvidere from there is about 30-40 minutes or so. Of course I am open to other suggestions.

I'd also like to know how many are signing up for the show and if you plan on signing on as a group like Windy City LX. If you guys are in for that, I will do the same.

I have the same thread going over at LX Forums. If you belong to that forum, I prefer that you reply over there to keep things centralized. If not, feel free to reply here too.

Sorry But thats out of my way. You path won't take you to the Belvider oaisi will it? IF any thing we should meet before we get into the park. Its always cool to see the people ohh as a large group of LX come in.

Sounds good to me. I'm in plus 1, my neighbor with the red charger might come. Don't know if he will enter it, just a base model with no mods.

Hey Eric!

We will be shooting down Rt 20 heading west and not getting on the tollway. I'm guessing that you will be exiting 90 at Genoa Rd. We could plan on meeting you at the Chrysler headquarters parking lot if you wish. When you turn right on Genoa Rd off 90, Chrysler Drive will only be about 300 yds from there on your right side, just before Rt 20. We could plan on meeting you over there around 9:15 if you'd like.

A couple of questions: 1) If we register for the show, should we register under Windy City LX? 2) Do you think you'll have any others making the trek down 90 with you to meet up with us? Maybe we can make Chrysler headquarters the meeting spot for everybody planning to go on Sunday, including the guys from WI and the south suburbs. It seems to be a convenient spot since it's right off 90 and only about 4 miles from the show. That way, we'll have a nice big convoy heading in. Let me know your thoughts.

Here is the link for the pre-registration form for Sunday if you plan on entering in the show. You can call Roger at 815-544-3147 to get your name on the list and ensure that you get a dash plaque and goodie bag. If Roger isn't there, his wife will be more than happy to answer your questions. Then just fill out the bottom of the form and mail it in with your $10. FYI, we are in class "Y". You will want to get the form mailed by Wed to ensure they get it by Saturday.

That is correct. So....do you have any other guys from the North suburbs that want to join our convoy with you in Belvidere at the Chrysler headquarters?

well im pre-registered thanks to Roger.
When i talked with him last night he was very excited to hear we were coming up, he really wants to see as much of the "new muscle" as possible.
And yes Dave i will be riding up there with you guys..

Just talked to his wife,no need to really register anymore.
She was very nice and excited that were coming out. She said she's had like 10 Windy City calls for this. How many of you are calling? Also Saturday is mostly a show and Shine deal no real major Judging.

So do you still want to meet up with our convoy on Sunday AM? Our convoy is leaving Crystal Lake by 8:30 and should be at Chrysler headquarters just off Genoa Rd around 9:15. We can then all roll in to the meet together. Hopefully we'll get more interest in this and have a nice big group roll in together.
