Headed to Chicagoland tomorrow...

Should I take the "northern" route through Lima, OH, Ft. Wayne and US-30, or the longer way along I_70 over to Indy and up I-65?

We'll be spending the week in Wheeling with our son, D-I-L and grand daughter, Alivia. Guess we're taking the Heritage Edition with the snow tires instead of the MSRT8.

Let me hear some local road condition reports and/or forecasts along the northern route. I know that rain is expected tomorrow... any chance it will turn nasty icy, blizzardy, etc.

Thanks for any feedback.

I don't know about Indiana or Ohio but in Illinois the roads are clear and the temps are about 25 to 35 deg.

I think it's supposed to be rain here tomorrow, but may be clear early. So I suppose we'll be driving into worse and worse weather. If the storm track is SW to NE what do you think the Lake Effect might be in northern IN?
