Can anything be done about two broken bars on the grille?

I watched my wife bump into an empty garbage can yesterday and two of the bars broke right at the point. Can anything be done to fix these? Thanks

The OEM front grille is ABS plastic so I don't believe the broken pieces can be repaired.

However, depending on which pieces have been broken, you could consider cutting out the vertical bars leaving only the horizontal bars which several members have done, creating a look similar to the Grip Grille.

Then again, you can consider an aftermarket grille. Also, some members have offered their former OEM grills for free as long the buyer pays for the shipping. Check the for sale section.

In that case, I have no idea regarding potential repairs. What is the Grip Grille made out of? If it's fiberglass, a good body shop should be able to help you out. You might also want to contact Grip and see what they say.

If it's plastic it can be repaired with a plastic welder. All you need is to use the same type of plastic rods. I've looked into these online and they're really not that expensive. Just do a search for "plastic welders".

Yes, I was shocked as well. It didn't even move the can

Well I might be selling a broken Grip soon if anyone is interested if I can't get it fixed, it would make a good start for someone wanting to paint it, lol.

Now she wants a damn honeycomb grille

Is it Chrome? If so your going to have to get a new one, gluing just won't ever look right. If its painted it can be plastic welded and repainted.
I haven't had any problems with mine yet. But i would see how it
if hit just the right way it could break.
Good Luck

Yes it is chrome. To be honest unless you get up close you can't even tell, they were clean breaks right at the point on two of the bars. I will prob sell it cheap on the forums once she picks out a new grille.
