1bad4dr is ALIVE!!!! :D

Finally, she is back in my garage and healthy as an Ox. hehe

Ok, After some growing pains with this build and it being a "Prototype" for the upcoming GS Motorsports new Stage 1 Forged Engine, I am now in R&D mode. This means that I will not have ANY numbers for another couple of weeks while I break this engine in. I can tell you that the engine WANTS to move out like there is NO tomorrow...

During my 10 1/2 hour drive home I changed my RPM's and MPH's on a regular basis so that the engine can be properly broke in. We wanted to use as little boost as possible as well, so I never got over 5lbs boost.

I can tell you though that the 5lbs boost felt more furocious and neck snapping than my original 8 lbs boost. OMG.... Oh yea, I never went over 1/3 throttle.

The throttle response is amazing. It is almost immediate in power and the G-force puts you in the seat back and holds you there until the throttle is let go. This beast broke traction while I was changing lanes and giving small amounts of throttle. Scared the pee outta me as I was not expecting such torque... hehe I was doing 45mph when this occured.

The engine simply purrs like a kitten while cruising. I can't wait for the day that I can bring her out to WOT. Man oh man....

If you are interested in this engine/ S/C application, I HIGHLY recommend it. Remember, mine is a prototype which means that the product to market engine will actually be better and stronger than what I have.

GSM, the Machine Shop, Manley, and Ross have done an "Outstanding" job in the research and development of these wonderful parts.... They also stepped up to the plate when last weeks valve leak was identified.... It was one push rod that was made .001 to long that was the cause. All mentioned stepped up to identify while Manley made good with the correct size and shipped all in the same day. Thanks guys.

I will be on a temporary break-in tune until I go back out to SoCal in two weeks where GSM will give me the full , All out tune which will be tested during the Caravan to SEMA in Las Vegas. Once my beast comes back from SEMA, Scott from GSM will fly out to Alb, NM to give me my elevation tune. hehe I need two, one for Sea Level and the other for my stinkng high elevation of 5500 feet. Once this is complete, you will see the Dyno numbers and of course R.j-lo's famous videos. lol

Thanks guys for being patient with me during my last 5 1/2 months. whew I am glad to have her back home.. lol

I'm waiting. Gee, if Anthony can run a 11.51 @ 122 with a stock block, Hmm. More boost coming.

Did you get the Quaife installed yet Ron? If, not, you're gonna need it.

Hey 1bad ,
Kept wondering when you were gonna get that bad boy back !! I still remember that awsome video you made on your last drive home...when nobody wanted to play with you !!! Having an animal like that and not being able to stomp it must be painful . Can't wait for you to be able to maximize its potential . Keep us posted and take care - Mike .

Thanks Mike. lol funny you should mention the previous drive home and me not being able to go WOT...
As I was headed down the 60 through Pamona, I noticed a BMW Z4 speeding up on my 6. lol I watched the kid in my rearview as he was glaring at the SRT8 and Supercharger emblems. I gave it a little bit of gas to open up those LT's with Magnaflows offroad exhaust... The kids eyes opened about 5 inches. lol He then backed off, went to the far right lane and eventually made his way around me before he again took off. lol
