Dodge Dealer Repair

Aloha, I took Kalos C to the shop to change oil and spark lugs, check fluids and filters. I turned off my hand held switches so no one could use them while its there and even turned off the auto raise. I thought it would be enough so that they wouldnt play with my bags. I was wrong when my wife and I got there to get it back I notices that it was laid out, I ask kalo if she laid it out when she dropped it off she said no. Then I herd the service manager ask if the car was ready to go, the guy said no because they popped the fuse in the trunk. By now I was just about at the loosin it stage, the other service manager asked me if I knew how to raise the car (duh). I walked to the car checked the fuse and yups it was burnt. I asked why did they play with the air bags, she didnt know it had bags and said that I should have told them or writen a note not to touch the air bags, to me I shoudnt have to do any of that, it was only there for a simple check up and no one needed to go in my center counsle any way. They gave me a fuse to replace the burnt one at no cost wow . If we didnt have to go to do our other job I would have made a big thing about it. On Saturday I took the car to work and while wiping it down the front above the wing in front of the hood are scratches all over it and even on the right bottom of right front bumper, wait thats not all I got home fixed the fuse and one pumps not working, on monday i am going to call them back and get everything fixed and replaced. Warning Waipahu Dodge Repair not a great place to take your car to fix, I am not going there ever again ..... I hope that I can get it all fixed and replaced. I wouldnt mind any thoughts or even ideas you all might have. Aloha Seth

Sorry your car had to experience this unnecessary 'service' by this Dodge dealership. It was totally inappropriate, unacceptable, and unprofessional.

You are doing the right thing by going back Monday. Be firm in pointing out the damages and that they are going to pay for it all.

In the future, regardless of where you take your vehicle for any type of servce, it's important for you to have the service writer put your 'other' specific requests down in writing on the work order. That could include requests such as DO NOT touch the air bag system or DO NOT wash.

Hope things are made right for you. Don't forget to follow up with us.
Good luck!

I also had a BAD experience with Waipahu Dodge. I had to take my car in a few months ago for a leaky trans. A simple TSB warranty issue right? I guess not. I had to go to work in the afternoon, so my wife picked up the car and drove it straight home. Unfortunately, it was really raining that week and the next, so I didn't wash my baby for about ten days (I know, how shameful, right?) Anyway, when I did get to wash my car, I noticed a HUGE chunk missing from my right front SRT wheel. The tire also had a one inch cut in it. Damage that was so severe, that if I had did it, it would definitely have been noticed and the impact felt. And I know that I didn't do it. I figured that since the damage wasn't noted before my wife left the lot, and since I didn't notice until ten days later, the dealer would not own up to it, so I didn't bother going back to make a claim. All I know is that I will never go back to Waipahu Dodge!

wassup gangy

sorry for the late responce but PC was down. Any how I contacted the service manager( Joe) he was kool about it after alittle discusion about my compressor, he agreed to refund me the cost to replace it and fix the scratches that they made to my front end. If I ever go back there again wich I doubt I will see the manager first before I let my ride go.. Thanks for the concerns... Aloha Seth

Oh how sad of a truth that is. Some companies want to play off the "Why should we pay when you didn't check it before leaving?" stint.

I'm glad they owned up to the damage, Seth. BTW- I think a cousin and a friend of mine works there. Wonder if they did it... Hrmph.

Next time got Windward Dodge 5 Star Action

Go to Windward dodge, ask for Jerry Ramano Service Manager or Don the Head guy he takes care of all dodge and chrysler owners. Its not free but he take care and when I get my car back everytime it was better than when I left it. My choice and my luck has been with Windward. I cant stand car salesman but they was cool as hell and made it worth it. Its a drive from the Waianae side but call them up and tell them how junk Waipahu was to you they will most likly tell you check them out and hook ya up.

Nothing but Aloha-
