need a little info on hawaii

hey folks, as you can see in the title i need a little bit of assistance with some info on hawaii. to get everyone up to speed real quick with what is going on i am jonathan butler and i currently live on the coast of north carolina. i deal with auto sales and started about 3-4 years ago at a chrysler dodge dealer as a summer job and ended up being great at my job. now i have the opportunity to travel around the nation and put on sales at different dealers every week to help them with inventory control. so i have been doing this for about 11 months now and really enjoy getting to see the nation. well anyway my group was supposed to go to hawaii for 7 weeks to hit alot of the dealers, but some other sales came up for us and my buddy's team ended up going. i think he said he worked for pfleuger in honolulu and then worked for mid-pac lincoln dealer in kauai. well anyway my job is great, but i really dont like having to travel during the winter months (i just got home today from milwaukee wisconsin which it had snow flurries and was low 30's, to come back home to 70's temperature here.) anyway, when my buddy was there they really liked him and begged him to stay and work for good. now that brings us to the mix because he needed a few more. we have stayed in touch every now and again with the gm of the dealership and he welcomes us to go and work there. now this is my big plan, i am definitely going to work there at least during the winter and if everything goes as planned i should completely move over there. now what i need help with is that i think that i will go to mid pac in kauai. do any of you know as to which one i am referring to? also if you guys know where i am talking about, do you recommend a certain place to live that is reasonably close to the dealership? i am striving to leave the mainland in december and i am going to get the gm of the dealership to help us find a good place to stay. also, have any of you ever shipped a car to hawaii. i am thinking that i can get the dealership to help me in this, but what is the process of getting this to happen. i would ove to bring my 300 and range rover. thank you very much folks, this will be my first time in hawaii, but i have heard alot and i am really in love with the weather that i have seen (i am not a fan of cold weather or snow).

What a very lucky opportunity for you! Congratulations on your impending move. The Islands are beautiful. There is so much beauty and culture but the cost of living there is incredibly expensive.

Anyway, here's a very helpful webpage with some very good basic information for you:

i am trying to get out there asap. starting to get cold around here and i am psyched up about it. my brother and myself along with a friend are all moving there together. we are going to start in kauai, and to be honest i dont know the first thing about it, just kinda taking my friends word on it. we will go and work for mid pac for a little while to see how things are and then try to see other lines of work once we get enough knowledge and interaction there. the way i see it, i just turned 24 on the 16th of november and i figure that you only live once. prior to this thought process we were planning on just moving to south florida (because our main goal was to get out of any chance of getting cold weather, and south beach is sweet too), but i did some business down there alot and the humidity will get you. my understanding is that the weather is pretty much identical year round and may include showers(depending on what part of the island you are on....i think, or so i have been told) at the very least i want to learn more about the place and check out every island all winter long until summer and come back to north carolina(only if every thing planned completely screws up). i dont know how every thing will work just yet, this is like just taking a chance, but you only live once and this is a great opportunity.

I go to Kuai every year to stay at our timeshare. Congrats on the position and good luck! Like stated above, it's a beautiful island, but I really have no information on living there to offer you! All I know is hang loose brada...
