If you post a pic from your phone for example it will be the size of the pic in your signature, which is not what you want when people want to scroll through the entries.
If you use PhotoBucket or something similar they will show as a full size pic.
If you have no other choice then I will edit the post and make it bigger for you.
For example your sig pic would look like this, which is far easier to view
Dusk is OK.
You might already have some great pics that you've taken where the backdrop has plenty of lighting. There a lot of places in a city I can think of.
The moon may be enough to give you a great pic.
The idea is to use the lighting to your advantage where its reflecting into the car or making your car a mirror etc.
Plenty of ways to get a great pic at night.
I snapped my first night shot just in the driveway. It's difficult when you can't see the car in the view finder. Had to set lens to auto focus and turn on flash. Once focused, shut flash, reset lens and adjusted shutter. I was amazed at how much light came in and how much showed, but a bit grainy. The light from behind me is actually like a 30 wt bulb behind think plastic on the garage door opener. Was no where near as visible as in the pic.
Any advice you can give me on a starting point with camera settings? This is something I recently have been trying to improve my skills with, it's free, fun, and gratifying when you get some great shots.
nikon D3000 (maybe the D5000) and a few different lenses. Just not the one that I think came with it, the wider angle no zoom one. That was "loaned out"
I'm no help with camera settings and adjustments but that pic you took would look amazing on a bright moonlit night.
You'd be amazed how good your car can look in your garage. You turn your garage lights on and get a pic at the right angle it can look magic
That's the spirit. Hopefully i can get some more to do the same.
So what inspired this to come about was i was looking at some pics taken at night and the car in the background looked magic with the lights reflecting of it. So thought it might be a good headlight idea. So let's hope some of the good shots come to life.
Nothing wrong with that and the pics would have been taken in the last 11 years. Actually if someone took pics of their car 59 years ago that would be accepted as well.
Wonder if anyone on here now had a 300c back in 57
