It will allow you to alter:

WOT Fuel enrichment in two ranges: 2k-4k rpm and 4k-7k rpm

The Predator will also function as a scan tool to read/erase trouble codes and will support viewing live data from the PCM or logging that data.

Q: What Gains can I expect?
A: Stock 5.7 and 6.1 yielded 20 HP across the band. More or Less depending if you have mods and how you make adjustments.

Q: Can you supress those codes I get from cutting out my cats?
A: Yes, P0420/p0430 will be supressed.

Q: What kind of data logging capabilities are there?
A: The Predator will function as a scan tool to read/erase trouble codes and will support viewing live data from the PCM or logging that data.

Q: What changes will be available to the transmission?
A: A revision update for TCM support will be provided in the near future. TCM support will include adjustable shift points and firmness.

Q: Can I turn off MDS?
A: Yes there will be an on/off setting for MDS.

Q: Will this work with my B&G Stage I, II, III flashed PCM?
A: Yes, it will read the file. You should not apply any tunes from the Predator in this application though, rather use the factory hp tune, which allows you to modify whatever is on the PCM currently.

Q: Can I delete the O2 Sensors?
A: Yes, the Predator will be able to delete the rear O2 sensors.

Q: Will we be able to pull fuel at idle without MAP signal altering?
A: Yes, but this will be available via custom tuning.

A: Yes

Q: Can I adjust the Fan temp?
A: Yes

Q: Is SRT8 tuning available out of the box on 7/31?
A: Yes

Q: Can this be updated via the web?
A: Yes

Q: Can I buy one product and use it on any one of my cars... my Ram, to my Magnum RT to my Magnum SRT8?

A: No

Q: Can I stack this with my SuperChips Flash?
A: No

Q: Can I tune this for N2O?

Q: Is this unit "Flash on the fly" capable?
A: No, the vehicle will need to be off when flashing.

Q: How much can we adjust on the handheld unit?
A: Generally we allow a range of adjustment in the +/- 25% range for fuel and timing in the handheld units.

Q: Many have an issue with surging on the SC tuner, is there any sign of this with the DS tuner?
A: We will not release any tunes with any known surge or any types of issues.

Q: I saw an "interface kit" for sale to update via web. Is it now included with newer models?
A: No, the interface kit is not included. The cables and power supply needed for connecting the Predator to the PC are not included with the Predator. The cable and power supply can be found at most any computer supply store. (USB to serial or serial to serial, and a 12v 1 amp power supply with a 2.5x5.5mm tip, center +).

Q: Is the updater Vista compatabile?
A: Yes, DSDownloader, as well as the Data viewer are Vista compatabile.
Beta can be downloaded here: DiabloSport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems

A: I do not have any further info on possible V6 support. As of right now, the tool will be Hemi only.

Q: Can you guys desensitize knock sensors?
A: Yes, this is done as necessary on the 91 / 93 tune, as well as via a custom tune.

Q: Are there user defined presets in the tuner... For example, can I select no TM, MDS off, etc.. etc.. and save it as a "racing" preset. And then have a "street" preset etc..
A: up to 5 custom tunes can be created using the following method:
1.Once you have a tune on the PCM that you like, you can use the Predator to 'read extra tune'. This will save a copy of whatever is written to the PCM in the Predators memory. 2.You can then upload a copy of this tune from the Predator to your PC. 3.Once saved to the PC, you can re-load this tune to the Predator as a custom tune.

Q: Will this support the early 2004 Magnum builds?
A: Yes

Transmission

Q: Does the Rev Limit adjustment work at Idle?
A: YES, you will be able to set it to any rpm you desire.

Q: What about the "paddle hold" and "paddle kick" options like superchips, will you offer that?
A: These types of features will have to wait until we add TCM support.

Q: In addition to firmer shifts and reduced TM, is your TCM programming going to raise shift points for daily driving, making the car more responsive?
A: Shift points as well as line pressure adjustment will be user adjustable once TCM support is added.

Q: Will this reduce Torque Management?
A: Yes, Torque Management is removed on the PCM side in the canned tunes.

Custom Tuning

Q: Can we dyno tune with this predator?
A: Yes, Custom tuning will be available.

Q: If I can adjust A/F and timing, what more do I need from a professional tuner?
A: The tuner itself can make adustments in specific RPM ranges 2-4K, 4-7KRPM. A professional will be able to fine tune this... For example make changes every 50RPM.

Q: How far can I go with my mods before I should seek professional help?
A: The main modifications that would require custom tuning is long tube headers and aftermarket cams, as they require extensive tuning to get everything where it needs to be. Stroker motors and ported heads will require tuning as well.

Q: Can I adjust the spark/fuel/rev limits on the tuner, on a custom base tune that was created for me by a professional tuner?
A: YES

Q: Can we adjust the MAP tables to compensate for low vacuum caused by large cams?
A: Yes, in custom tuning.

Q: Can misfire be adjusted so we can run lumpy cams without throwing codes?
A: Yes, in custom tuning.

Q: Can we adjust Idle fuel trims?
A: Yes, via Custom Tune.

Q: can we, the customer, also have the same software the shops will have so we can create our own tunes and download them to the handheld devices ourselves?
A: We will eventually offer single user versions of the software that will allow you to tune on your own. You should become familiar with EFI tuning before attempting this though.
