Question 2012 300c intake and exhaust

First things first, love the site and reading all the feedback from everyone is great and a huge learning exprience,as this is my first 300.I really want to do things right the first time so i thought i would give this a try.Reading all the posts i dont see to many with the new 300 moding it up(mostly all 05-08 etc).I would relly like some feedback for a new catback as well as intake for the new one.Loud is not an issue, the louder the better as i have an old 51 hotrod thats way loud(flowmaster super 44s)and the neighbors love it.I read the thread about the spacer and does that i guess also apply to the new one...Thanks all,i also plan on getting a tuner also...

Big reason for lack of modifications on the new ones is because they either do not exist...or the computer is yet to be aftermarket tuneable so people are avoiding modifying the vehicles until the ecm is "hacked"

Yeah, forget about the spacer.

As far as intakes go, AFE or LMI would be my choice. You won't have any issue fitting either one to a 2nd gen LX.

Exhaust is so subjective. Flow 44's are loud. A Cherry Bomb set of mufflers to replace the stock setup would be REALLY loud. A Magnaflow setup would be quieter than the Flows but still loud when ya get on it.

Whatever ya do, avoid the nasty drone by leaving the stock resonators (at the back end of the system near the exhaust tips) in place.

There are quite a few sound clips out there you can listen to that may help you make your choice. You have to pick what sounds good to you.

Thanks Maddog..was wondering when you would get around to my questions.I have seen your suggestions and remarks to other members and i think you are very knowledgable. As far as my exhaust do you not think a catback would yield better bang for the buck as apposed to just a muffler swap.Read the thread with Wizo and his corsa cat back and thought interesting.Corsa...Borla...or muffler swap....what do you think is best..i want loud and i do understand its all my preference but i do respect your thoughts as well as any other member that can help me out.I wanna do this right the first time being my first 300....Thanks beforehand any and all......

The stock piping isn't too restrictive at all and it's the right size for a stock engine. All I did with mine was replace the stock muffler with a pair of freer flowing ones. Catbacks are nice but, frankly, you will get a better bang for the buck out of swapping mufflers only. Leave the rear resonators on to cut back on the drone that MDS mode will create.

And go with the mufflers of your choice. You want loud? Flowmaster 44's or some Cherry Bombs will be LOUD!
