Just got done installing the Volant CAI intake with the PowerCore Filter on my 2011 300C. The system was top notch! Fit and finish was perfect and really fills in the corner nice. It uses the factory duct in the fender and is open on the front to grab air from behind the headlight.
So far, improvements in throttle response are very evident and the sound under WOT is oh so nice. Car has a little more get up, but it will need a tuner to really open up.
Sweet... but all i see is a red x if you were tying to post a pic of it.it didn't come through.
Thanks. Hmmm, just cleared my cache and came back as a guest, I could see it. Perhaps some trickery with your browser? It is using uploadhouse.com as the host.

My buddies RAM got 10whp and 12wtq over the band, the new filter design is very well done. This was one of the few intakes that had a solid enclosure to avoid engine heat. Plus, I do feel a difference.
But, its not a huge power adder, that will come with the CMR tune next

Yeah, I always liked the look and "idea" of these with the lower arm and all, but everything I read said they are pretty restrictive and that kept me away. Keep us posted on what you find with the CMR - maybe a stock vs Volant comparison dyno??
Regardless of performance - they do look good IMO.

Mr Fluff....Not to "Ruff" up your feathers or anything...
There are a lot of us who know these cars inside and out. It comes with being a member of these forums (300CF/LXF) since 2005-06. That's 7-8 years. Some have been doing their research, others have taken even further steps by donating time/money to test and produce empirical evidence as to performance gain claims for any given aftermarket add-on.
When it comes to CAI performance gains on LX based vehicles, us seasoned forum members have seen and heard it all. Saying that your bud's Ram gained X amount of HP carries little weight around here. Butt dyno AKA the perceived throttle response, carries ZERO weight around here. Just sayin'.....
Volant makes a very nice looking unit. I had one on my G8 GT. Testing done by other guys with the unit found the powercore filter to be too dense and restrictive, so most of us ended up tossing the powercore and putting a K&N filter in them. All that said, CAI upgrades are kinda like exhaust upgrades. Done more for sound and appearance than meaningful power gains.
