hey NR, thats for great idea! this is definatly a great alternative to purchasing an extire exhaust setup.
i stopped by my local Monroe today and after the guys there were done gawking at my car, we put it up on the lift and i showed them what i wanted done (as you explained). said they would do it 'off the clock' for about $60 which is definatly a helluve deal.....although ill prolly give em a lil more just for being so helpful.

so if im correct, you removed the 2 resonators that are at the rear of the car by the bumper entirely? we were discussing removing the 'suitcase' that is in the middle of the chasis instead of the 2 rear resonators.....what would happen if we removed that? although ill probably stick with just removing the 2 rear resonators like you did. also what are the 360 clamps you purchased, and what exactly do they do? im unfamiliar with this exhaust stuff, and want to know the advantages of having them, versus whatever else they would use?

i also plan to swap out my 300C bumper, with a base model bumper so i do not have the exhaust cutouts. then im going to add some 4" rectangular tips, much like those on Camaros. i think itll really give the back a clean look, and add to that muscle car look. let me know what u guys think!

(thanks again for the idea NR!)

Yep, the resonators by the back bumper.

If you also take off the suitcase mufflers in the middle you'll have no sound quieting and no back pressure. You need to leave them or replace them with tuned mufflers designed for the 300C.

Have fun!

Heard of others doing this mod & having drone problems at around 2000rpms, sounds like you don't have this, the only problem I've with this setup is that it looks cheap, & I guess it is, comparing to the full kit, For me, I love the look of the Magna-flows, & once I get the Headers it will sound even better. To each its own, I'm not knocking you, just my 2 cents, & as long as your happy with it,that's what counts.

Gee, I never thought of that.

Hard to see under there when I'm driving.

Next time I run someone over, though, I'll ask them if they thought my system looked cheap (after calling 911, of course - I'm not a complete Neanderthal).

Not quite. Camera was a foot off the ground. Seriously, I know where you're coming from, Cruznit.

You like the chrome look on the mufflers. I like the black out look. I usually paint the pipes and cans flat black with Hi-temp paint. I probably do that this weekend.

Now that's what I'm talking about, didn't think of that , I think that will do it for me too , were I was coming from was like, you know people, they go behind your ride checking it out & they see the nice looking tips & they say, Damn!! Those are some BadA** looking headers, then they crouch a bit to look under and , get my drift. All in all your ride looks damn good!!!
