Yep, the resonators by the back bumper.
If you also take off the suitcase mufflers in the middle you'll have no sound quieting and no back pressure. You need to leave them or replace them with tuned mufflers designed for the 300C.
Have fun!
I had the "Suitcase" removed,and the rear resonators;
Replaced with Flowmasters (at first were a bit LOUD,
added 12" glasspack just before exhaust tip-Sounds Great
from Idle through WOT ),finished off with 4" Chrome tips. TOTAL COST:$350.00
hey stan, where did you get the flowmasters as well as the glasspack? this might be the route i take, seeing as how my installation cost will be next to nothing. thanks in advance!

Evntually you will all get the ZOOMERS as I did. The sound is perfect. You will have no regrets. ZOOMERS is made specifically for our car. I realized it was best not to mess with the car too much and let ZOOMERS handle it. The install is perfect and the system is beautiful. We have spent upward of $40,000 for our cars. Why cheap out on the exhaust. It's just another $1000.
I want the Zommers but i just cant see the money right now. The exhaust is new when its time to replace them then i'll pony of the extra money. For now thou this mode is a good one lose weight and get a nice V8 sound. UNless Ron at Zommers wants to sponsore a car in the midwest im not getting them.(hint hint) JUST SAYING.
Stan how does the glass.flowmaster sound at MDS speeds?

Dude thats a frickin UFO
this is just going to be a 'quick fix' for me. i plan to upgrade to a full setup eventually, but i have never heard any of the aftermarket exhausts in person. online sound clips are really hard to judge by, and ill wait till i hear the difference between zoomers/magnaflow/borla before i make a decision.
i want to devote all of my money into cosmetic upgrades first, then later down the road ill worry about the performance. this car is already fast enough for me, but i do agree a nothing sounds better than a nice 'ballsy' v8 rumble!

Hardly noticable..in fact, barely there. I have no problem
having a conversation with a backseat passenger.JMO
I made 3 video clips with sound so you can hear the sound with the resonators off. I'm using a little digital camera and not experienced at videography - hope it gives you at least some idea:
Recognition of how helpful to the forum Northern is

Northern - (aka James Earl Jones)
It does give a good idea. Probably enough to help make the mod decision or not.
I can also confirm that the camera's recording is cutting off a lot of bass. I've talked with Northern on the phone, and his voice is somewhat deeper in real life, and I suspect his 300c's "voice" is deeper too.
Thanks for the vids together with your other info they help alot.

Thanx Rider!! Good job with the clips..........Sounds like this is for me and the kids at the muffler shop will have a ball doing it!
