Interior Gutted

What do you think of the mechanical look for an interior.

I think the silver head liner adds something......


Actually this is interior prep. Yes my heart skipped a beat seeing the inside gutted

The silver is sound barrier. every inch of the inside is covered as you see the roof is covered, the doors are covered, and the floor is covered. Here are pictures of the sound enclosure fabrication.

Here are pictures of the almost complete project. Still have work to do on the trunk and still working out some of the bugs in the electrical. Electrical includes the complete Viper Smart Start with proximity locks and push button start and Kenwood head unit with Eco Monitor. From there I have hacked the logs and other aspects of the system so I get a running log of where the care has been, how was it performing, and the eco statistics.

This is the inside put back together. For those that are 300c experts you will appreciate there is not one once of grey even the door seals are black. The wood is not stick on but where removed and plated. Notice the push button where the key should be. The 300c on the running boards light up. There are blue led in the door pockets, under the dash, and under the seats. The led are on a dimmer switch. The ash tray and cup holder also light up.

Absolutely jealous. It looks incredible and very and I mean very classy. I really like how you did all the sound proofing and I also really like the map pocket and cup holder lights. I may have to steal that Idea.

By any chamce could you snap a couple shots of how you.positioned the map holder and cup holder lights?

Sure. The led is an led light strip, the kind you can cut to length. We started with a long piece and then keep cutting till we got the wanted effect. I placed them where the light is reflected so it is refracted. Once I figure out how to get good pictures in the dark I will post pictures of what the lighting effect looks like. There is still more lights to be installed. These will be used to indirectly reflect on a couple if etched windows. The strip is glued to the underside of the lip above the cup holder door. What you are seeing is the reflection on the top of the door. This works because the door has a wood grain plating which makes it really shinny. The ash tray is lite the same way.

Here are additional pictures of the inside with the lights. I don't normal run around with them that bright but for picture taking I turned the dimmer all the way up. And yes the license plate is lite. In person the back ground is black it is showing blue because of the way the lights reflects off the plastic. The logo is etched into the plastic.

Ok I promised the trunk and here is the trunk. And with this the project is completed. Doing this project I learned more about how this car works and is put together then I ever wanted to know.
Now the only thing left to do is drive it. And driving it is what I have been doing. Even though nothing was done to the engine or suspension, it seems to ride so much better.

As for the engine do I see Billet in it's future? Once the credit card cools off I am sure I will be going that direction. The Billet mods add so much to the engine. Performance and suspension mods I doubt it, except maybe a set of rims.

Without them this project would have never been completed.
what started off as a do it yourself quickly got me in over my head, especially the electronics.
Was it worth it??? Took it to the car wash an drew a crowd so yes it was worth it. The best part I leave the house put the keys in my pocket and never have to take them out till I get back home. (except when I have to open the trunk, working on a solution to that) Open to suggestions on a trunk mod to open the trunk by touch and a power lift.

looks great..color of the leather looks really good and the blue leds against the black gives it a really nice glow without being "ricey" looking. great job!!!
