HVAC & Headlight knobs interchangeable?

Anyone know if the large HVAC knobs could be used to replace the headlight knob? I don't like the looks of the knob for the lights, thought it would look better with one like the HVAC system has.

I tried pulling on them to remove them, but got nowhere - was afraid I'd break something. Anyone know how to remove them so I can try this? I'll be ordering a knob if this works.

hmmm...I've never taken mine off. I suspect they just lift off with a bit of prying. I didn't like the look so I went with the BT covers as well.

To extract hvac dials, turn dials to anticlockwise position and pull as shown in this demo. To remove headlight dial, you simple tug. But the hvac dials will not fit anyhow, so there is little point but still was a good thought You may want to check out BT

I don't really care for the look of the billet ones, so I was hoping this would work. May pull them off with the instructions above and see if there is a way to make it work. Thanks for the feedback!

I like that idea. I have bt window switch covers and mirror bezel and knob. But I would rather have the headlight knob matching the HVAC knobs. I got to try this too. Thanks.

Went to the car show this weekend, and noticed that the new Challenger has a headlight switch assembly that looks like the one in the 300 - but it has a knob that matches the HVAC knobs - gonna call the dealer and see if just the knob can be ordered.

According to the dealer, the knob is not available by itself - youhave to buy the entire switch at around $80.
