Exciting idea for a dash kit!!

Here is my idea, I just want some others to chime in and give me their opinoin.

What if you bought a dash kit that is the silver kinda and sanded it down really well, primered, followed by two coats of spray paint, then a coat of clear spray paint.

Does anyone know if this would look ok? I know it would depend on how much prep time and detail you put into it, but could it be done?

Also what about longevity?

yea, match the color of the car, i think it would be different, i think the plain silver doesnt look good in a black car, and the wood is too much imo

Im sure if you talk to a body shop, they might be able to do it, but the price tag is gonna be high because it will take some time and patience to sand those little pieces down.
Maybe you should talk to the manufacture into doing this and tell them that there are people who might be interested.

Personally I think it might give it a 'cheapo' look.

Reminds me of UK cars I owned way, way back when the dash and interior of the doors were plain spartan body coloured metal.

I am not yet aware of any UK 300C owners who would want to undertake any form of interior mods to the trim other than the fitting of the 22Elite leather centre console arm rest cover.

We can order dash kits in OEM paint colors, they are not the cheap kits from ebay/mexico but are made to order here in the US. They run close to $450 for the smaller (32pc) kits but that is significantly less than what it would cost to professionally paint one of the cheap kits. Let me know if you are interested I can get you more info.

Not really when you think about it, try calling a body shop for a quote to repaint over urethane on an unistalled dask kit, I think you may be suprised.

Hey Aspendog, what about steering wheel and door pulls to match body color also? What 32 pieces are included in the kit?
