If you want AUTO HEADLIGHTS do this!!! Its FREE!!!

If you dont have autoheadlights like I didnt then you need to do this mod if you want them!! Works great!! I guess it would just be for base and touring models cause I think they come standard on the C's and srt's.

Just found this on the lx forums. I just did this mod today. It took all of 5 mins. The info on the lx forums says to take out the headlight switch but I didnt need too. Make sure you knob is in the off position lift up the knob so you can see a slot in it. Once you see the slot slide a flat head screw driver into the hole and lift the knob will come off pretty easily (at least mine did) once you do that remove the little tab to the right. I used a razor knife and cut it off in one cut then just smoothed it out with the knife. I put the knob back on and bam the knob moves all the way over to were the autolight symbol is suppose to be. I turned on my car and wham my lights were on!! I turned it off and they went out. They say you may have to reset your computer by taking the neg cable off the battery but I didnt have to do this!

Here is the link to the lx forums for pics. The guy that did this took the entire switch out but you dont need to do that. This mod is pretty simple and easy for anyone to do!!

I tried this on mine ( touring and NO SENSOR ) and it will allow you to have daytime running lights that will turn off when you get off the car

it took me 1 minute to do .. just pulled the knob hard and broke the stopper on the knob itself with some nose pliers

Luke, dont you have a base model? Does it have the sensor on the front of the dash? I dont think you can get auto-headlights unless you have that sensor... maybe just daytime running lights..

yeah I dont have the sensor but I dont really care. I keep the switch on auto and I never have to touch with the light switch again! I know its not that much work to turn the lights on and off but hey just one more thing that is convient. I like it!

That's what the Aussie's have been doing for some time now as their 300C's and SRT8's don't have it either for some reason.
