Thumbs up Valentine1 ,Escort and Bel Owners need this!!!!

I found this aluminum bracket online.
They are made for Nissan 350Z.
They sell them plain also (no Z Logo). 23mm mirror shaft.
I had to make a small plastic spacer (to change the angle slightly) between the V1 mount and mirror bracket to make it work.
You use the original v1 mount and take suction cups off.
Screws attach V1 mount to bracket (they insert where suction cups used to be).
Not sure if I am allowed to show link on this thread because they are not a supporting vender!
Custom Made Connecting Mount for Radar Detector on 350Z and other Cars
I hope you like it , I love it!

Its a neat gizmo if you can flaunt your use of the detector IN Va we have to be sneaky about them as its a $500 ticket.

I wish Mike V would make a quality Remote systems

even would be nice is this would work http://www.stealthone.com

Now that could be an intresting hack.

I also tuck my Escort in the passenger's side corner. Yeah, it's not as effective picking up rear radar, but I didn't want a detector hanging from the mirror right in the middle of my view.

Mounting it on the dash (actually to the windshield- very low), seems to be out of the way and it picks up signals very well.

.....besides, who speeds?

About to pull the trigger for my V1 Gary! Can you post some pics? Also is it the 23mm or the 3/4 one? I am assuming you used the .23mm, was this why you had to use the plastic spacer? Can you elaborate on that and any tips on hardwiring? Did you use Inviscord? If so, is it necessary?

Thanks for the great tip!

Regards,
SRTHILL
