question on 22elite console

The more I look at other peoples padded console, the more I think that my console leather may be off!

The color is perfect, however the leather is very grainy on mine and my C seats are smooth.....

Im very satisfied but Im a perfectionists

Any others have a very smooth console leather or is yours also grainy?

Just want to get feedback before I order another wrap from James.

it's so hard to tell in photos. But in my experience, the match in my car's console and existing seats is so close, I can't tell them apart (in color and texture).

That said, leather is a natural product with all natural products, there is variations. Drop 22elite a note and see what they say.

Your photo does look a little more "nibbed" (basketball-like grain) that the smooth grain of the seats. Compared to my 22elite VES padded console in dark graystone leather, you definitely have more visible grain than I do. I'm sure James can help you out... just drop him a PM or give him a call (although as a busy upholsterer, you might not find him "in" the store at any given time).

The leather of my seats has more texture than that of the 'C' models...my center console cover's leather texture is a great match.

Can someone explain to me how this center console thing works. Do you buy it as a single piece all ready to go, or do you have to install the padding and leather onto your exsisting armrest???

2 options, James with 22elite sends you the pad and leather and you install it or you pay a core deposit and he sends you one already padded and wrapped and you return yours and then 22elite refunds your core deposit.

As I stated, Im very happy with 22elites custom work.

Its just that I was looking for feedback from others to see if their consoles are grainy too!

If not, I will order another wrap from 22elite and install myself with a more smooth one.

But if everyone else's tends to have the grain as well, I will chaulk it up as me being extremely picky!

Here's a day-time picture from my gallery of our console, showing that it's pretty "smooth" in terms of grain.

I wonder if its the color....Ive noticed that those with the dark slate seem baby smooth and my medium slate is grainy.

just went out and looked at the arm rests that I forgot I had. I ordered a month later and they too are grainy......it must be the color option only coming in select leathers.

Anyone with the medium slate grey have the "basketball" grain too?
