Wood Dash Kits

Nice mileshoover, yeah I can't wait to see the whole kit. I got mine today from www.woodtrimwarehouse.com 32pcs I'm sure I will not use all the pieces. Ask for Noah (1-800-473-1838) he offers free shipping when (Angela) is mentioned. That will save some $$, since we all are eager to make mods to our 300 C's
I will list pieces I don't use, for whoever might want them!!
All are doing a great job enhancing their 300 C's.

All should be aware that the <layout> pictures on the web sites for all brands of wood appliques kits are generic for <all> possible pieces for the 4 variations of the 300 line. One must select the variation you wish to buy for your particular installation, particularly with or without navigation and/or Full instead of Basic kit. Prices vary according to the amount of pieces in the kits.

For B&I kits, this is a total of 35 numbered pieces. But all should note the following, for example, from the bottom of the B&I picture, before ordering to understand what one will get in each kit variation:

"WD556A (32 pcs) Full kit without navigation system -All pieces except 31, 32, 33 (Angie's, apparently)
"WD556B (27 pcs) Full kit with navigation system - All pieces except 9, 10, 13 thru 17, 21 (Mine, all installed)
"WD556C (15 pcs) Basic kit without naqvigation system - Only pieces 1, 2, 13 thru 21, 29, 30, 34, 35
"WD556D (12 pcs) Basic kit with navigation system - Only pieces 1, 2 18, 19, 20, 29 thru 35"

In no case does one get all 35 pieces illustrated. The kits at woodtrim are based upon a very similar schematic. The navigation kits use less pieces since the nav console fascia is less complicated with aluminum trim to be covered. And if you use that kit, ALL aluminum is covered. But it is your choice. (However, can't see any sense in paying for covering the trim but not using the stuff, so one should buy the lessor kit if not going to cover that center console (radio/navigation fascia).

For B&I, there are price variations from $226 to considerably less, dependent upon the kit ordered. These prices currently reflect and include 20% off for all customers. Shipping, if charged (apparently, that can be negotiated out), appears to be about $12.50 for UPS in Continental USA. The other manufacturer's kits are similarly priced IF you can get a discount, etc. Otherwise, they start at about $339.

The big difference between the two manufacturers' kits is that the B&I kit is laser-cut and includes an approximately 3" swath of walnut (or tortoise shell) across the entire middle dash from the light switch to the passenger side, just above the glove box (just like OEM was on the LH models). The other firm's kits have 4 small appliques provided in some versions for the 4 door handle surrounds; but they DO NOT provide the dash swath mentioned above and a few other pieces.

Sorry, you'll have to go to their web sites to see these sketch layout pictures since I believe them to be copyrighted and I don't care to break that by uploading them plus their bandwiths appear to be quite large. I posted their web sites and phone numbers earlier in this thread. Suggest all interested go to both manfacturers' sites and study the pics carefully. I d/l'd them both and compared them to help decide which way I wanted to go.

Hope this helps clarify all the info which has seemingly divergent data here in this thread.

Here's the links

Joshua Tree w Nav - http://www.woodtrim.com/catalog_detail.cfm?prod=7134

Joshua Tree w/o Nav http://www.woodtrim.com/catalog_detail.cfm?prod=7131

Edit - looks like the Joshua Tree without Nav isn't showing the 32 piece, just the 18 piece

The one piece which is missing from alot of these kits is the rear center console vents piece. Joshua Tree only has it in their 22piece kit and only in nickel satin finish. I spoke to Noel at Woodtrim warehouse. He will have this piece within a couple of weeks in the California walnut. I believe the oversight is due to the rear vents are only in the 'C'. Drop me an email if you wish to purchase my Walnut center dash piece (w/o nav.).

Miles,

Where are your pictures?! I am delaying my order decision until I see how the B&I Trim product looks in your vehicle.

Wow, that looks a lot like the faux turtle shell thing...

Could you take a pic with the center dash trip just propped so I can get an idea of what it might look like if attached? Thanks.

Smile Wood Dash Kit

Yeah I really like the Cali wood trim on the door handles, unfortunately my 32pcs from woodtrim warehouse didn't include them, inquired w/Noel and he's checking into them, so in the mean time I emailed Joshua Tree regarding price for the 4pcs since I already have the dash kit, and awaiting his reply. I will post what I hear for those interested.

P.S.. I'm referring to the Door Handles that are located along all 4 door panels surrounding the strip of chrome as shown in "aspendog" photos page 2 or in the layout at Joshua Tree (P)5300-14 and so on... NOT the Door Pulls! that is included in the Cali Wood Pkg option!

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused
