Gap between the roof liner and windshield?

I noticed some type of annoying flying/crawling bug traipsing across my windshield while I was cruising.

Unfortunately, it was on the inside of my windshield. I waited for an opportune moment to kill it, when I noticed it crawled up to the top of the windshield and under the headliner.

This really pissed me off. I never before noticed the opening between the headliner and the windsheild. It almost looks unfinished, with frayed edges on the liner.

Is this the way everyone else has it?
After looking at it thought that it should be sealed..?

Unfortunately, DUB is correct. Was DCX trying to cut costs by not adding some type of trim piece to provide a finished look (and to keep out insects)?? I don't want a new windshield installed yet (cracked glass) because of that very issue with the unfinished headliner along the edge. I have visions of it sagging down and looking ratty!

Same here! They replaced my headliner because it was cut to small.
After installation of new one I noticed how crappie the edges are.
You will forget about it soon , to many good thing about this car!!!

I agree about all the good things regarding the 300. One option would be to pay an upholstery shop to add a trim piece since Chrysler won't.

I never looked or noticed the gap until tonight. It is not noticeable unless you look real hard. It doesn't bother me. Just like dust on top of all the doors in my house doesn't bother me I just don't look.

Thanks. It's good to know that it's not just my car... I guess.

I'll keep an eye on the liner and decide later on if I will "finish" it or seal it somehow.

I only noticed it because the damn bug crawled up in there.

I'm sure the creepy crawler will come out and want to play when I'm flying along.

Now you've got me curious. I've never noticed this in either of our cars, but I will check tonight.

Hey Red.... when are you going to give me some info for my H.E. Build Sequence thread? haven't I bugged you enough yet? LOL
