HELP!!!! Rear Deck Lid/ Anchor Cover Issues!!!

I did not find this anywhere so here we go.......Recently, one of the rear deck lid anchor covers (For child seats) broke off (total of three on the rear deck lid). I went to the local dealership to purchase a new anchor cover, but received nothing to attach the cover with (was told it was a two piece assembly). When I went to my the local body shop, they said to use a lock nut to secure the cover to the rear lid....is this right? The cover itself is designed to shift to the left or right and return to the original postion after use. I was told by the dealership that I may have to remove the entire rear deck lid to replace this simple yet annoying little piece of plastic. If anyone has noticed the design of the rear deck lid, it's not any easy project. I'm a perfectionist, what can I say!!! Can anyone help me???

Those things use one time use connectors if I am understanding what you are talking about. When I had my interior redone I left off the child seat anchors. Just made more sense in my situation. I cant help you but I do recall looking at them and having the discussion with the craftsman who redid my interior. Good luck

Anyone? I have been looking for the DIY instructions (including pics) on how to remove the rear deck lid and have not had any luck! I found several written post, but as they say a picture......... I found the thread once before, but didn't need them at the time. Funny how when you need something you can never find it!

Danno: If you read this can you please help?
